JAMES GUY ECCLESTON
“I am always trying to test my skills, to 'paint better' and record reality with sincerity. As I have progressed I have realised that an overall balanced composition is just as important as any technical flair.”
My love of art started from a young age. I was lucky to be surrounded by art and nature and spent many happy hours documenting and drawing animals, nature and various curiosities.
I went on to train at Bourneville College of Art and Wolverhampton University before studying under R O Lenkiewicz.
I am well known for my realistic and well observed still life paintings. More recently my ongoing love for nature has led me to also focus on native UK ponies and the stunning landscapes they call home.
